How Can Our Lasers Help You?

Zerona FDA Approved for Inch Loss!

The Zerona Lipo Laser is now the first non-invasive aesthetic device to receive FDA market clearance in the U.S. for circumferential reduction of the waist, hips, and thighs.

The FDA approved the Zerona for inch loss after completing a study evaluating 67 participants. The participants used the laser treatment 3 times per week for 2 weeks and had no diet, exercise, or any other restrictions placed upon them. The result was an average inch loss of 3.65 inches across the patient's waist, hips, and thighs in as little as two weeks.

Pilot Studies Explore Low Level Laser’s Effect on LDL, Leptin, and Parkinson’s Disease

Erchonia Medical presents three new studies at the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ.

Study 1
Erchonia will be presenting a study it conducted using low level lasers to treat late stage Parkinson’s disease. Eight volunteers between 18 and 80 years old with late stage PD participated in the non-controlled, non-randomized study and received low level laser treatments daily for two weeks. Patients were asked to rate the severity of their symptoms (balance, gait, freezing, cognitive function, rolling in bed, and speech difficulties) from 0-10 using the Visual Analog Scale. All participants demonstrated a decrease in VAS from baseline to study endpoint.

Study 2
The second study Erchonia plans to present shows how low-level lasers may reduce low density lipoprotein levels (LDL). Forty one patients between 18 and 65 participated in Erchonia’s non-controlled, non-randomized study. Participants received a 40-minute Zerona laser treatment three times a week for two weeks and demonstrated a reduction in low-density lipoprotein levels of 12.05 points, a 13% reduction. This study suggests that low level laser therapy may serve as a non-invasive way to reduce LDL levels in two weeks.

Study 3
Erchonia’s third study explores how its Zerona laser impacts leptin levels, the hormone linked to hunger. Twenty volunteers between the ages of 18 and 65 participated in Erchonia’s non-controlled, non-randomized study. Participants received 40-minute Zerona low-level laser treatments three times per week for two weeks. All participants demonstrated a reduction in leptin levels compared to their baseline – on average, a 50% decrease. Since leptin levels are associated with hunger, this study shows low level laser technology may noninvasively suppress the appetite.

Ryan Maloney, Erchonia’s medical director and one of the authors of the studies comments, “Although these were non-controlled, non-randomized pilot studies, they each showed promising new applications for low level laser technology. Further study is needed, but Erchonia is paving the way for new noninvasive healthcare technologies with a commitment to research and innovation.”

Another Great Transitions Meeting!

Great Transitions meeting last night! We learned what fast food can do to your digestive system. Jayna, our coach, brought in some fast food. She also had two stockings. In the first, she cut up a philly steak and cheese sandwich and put it in the stocking. She then mushed up the sandwich in the stocking, representing how our intestines process our food. Nothing fell out of the stocking; everything became mushy and stuck. She then added french fries and a coke. Still, NOTHING came out the end! Do we really want this to happen to us? Clogged intestines or an impacted colon?

Next, Jayna chopped up some vegetables and put them in a different stocking. The fresh vegetables fell from the bottom of the stocking with no problem! Her example showed how easy vegetables are on our bodies, and how great they make us feel.

So after that demonstration, which would you rather have?

Transitions Lifestyle System

Three days ago I started TRANSTIONS Lifestyle System. This program deals not only with dieting, but with life changes in the way we eat foods altogether. The first week is a detox week. Now, I know what your thinking...DETOX AHHHHHHH!! It's not bad at all!

I have been starting my mornings off with a cup of warm water, and squeezing a half of a lemon into it. I do this a half hour before I eat. For breakfast, I have some eggs and add some vegetables into them. A side of 100% whole wheat toast with peanut butter. For lunch, Oatmel, and veggies. Supper consists of some lean, boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Seasoned for perfection! With a side of some green vegetables. For a snack, as many fresh fruits and veggies that i want.

I admit the first day was kind of rough, but i made it through, and see myself making it all the way past the three month program. I can't wait to see the results of how great i feel and look!

AWC SUCCESS: RYAN ARNE

I was hurt in a wrestling match and couldn’t figure out why I was in so much pain. I had no broken bones. The hospital told me not to wrestle for the rest of the season. The Doctor gave me morphine and steroids and told me to use ice and my pain would get better in a few weeks. But I didn’t have a few weeks. I wanted to keep wrestling and be healthy for the 2009 sections and the state wrestling tournament. I decided to visit my aunt and uncle, Dr. Steve and Bessie Arne. At the Arne Wellness Center, I was able to get healthier and wrestle again in just 4 days. I made it to sections and won 1st place! I am looking forward to state. The doctors told me it wouldn’t be possible but with chiropractic, cold laser and the tensegrity I feel healthier and stronger even more than I did before the injury. Thank you for all your help!

A Zerona Success!

I have been an AWC patient for years. Recently, I made the AWC an integral part of my "get well" plan. I still remember coming to Bessie at my lowest point ready for a big change. I'd been in transition for the previous 5 years with college, new residences, study abroad, and bad relationships. Along with an un-healthy lifestyle I was carrying emotional baggage from childhood and adolescence. I have been to counseling but it didn't deal with my issues fully.

The treatment plan from Dr. Steve and Bessie were Chiropractic adjustments combined with physical and emotional detox. I came 3 times per week for the first few months to detox physically with adjustments, Zerona Lipo Laser, EB footbaths, and the Hothouse. These were combined with Emotional Release, Color Therapy, and Flower Essences for emotional detox.

As I progressed, I cut back on visits. However, I know that I need to continue to come because maintenance is so important. I have lost 35 pounds and 22 inches all over! I am down 3 dress sizes! More importantly, I've let go of so much more than just weight. I've overcome inner chaos that fed my overeating. I am active and motivated to continue with progress.

I am grateful for the support and help from Dr. Steve and Bessie. I am back on track!

Not only did the Zerona treatments help me to lose a total of 8.65 inces, but it vastly improved my blood sugar control which amazed my doctor! During the course of Zerona, my A1C level fell from 6.8% to 6.2% which brought my average blood sugars from 146 mg/dL to 124 mg/dL. My control became much tighter with a standard deviation of 75, meaning fewer swings between highs and lows. Saved From Surgery

For months I have been suffering from a severe disc herniation in my low back, causing severe leg pain, numbness, limited functional ability and worst of all, delaying my desire to get pregnant.
I was told surgery was a definite option, but I knew that would not solve the problem and would create further weakness in my back in the future.
After investing over $15,000 in doctors and specialists and spending months away from my family for intensive treatment I saw minimal improvement. I was tired of the pain and fatigue, not to mention the toll it was taking on my family life.
My refusal of surgery and pursuit for relief led me to the Arne Wellness Center. In just 2 visits I felt significant improvement in range of motion, mobility and pain reduction. Melting The Fat Away...

The Zerona was a complete success! It was, quite honestly, the easiest way I could imagine to lose inches. I started the whole process skeptical, but hopeful, about slimming down. We took my measurements on the first day and then I began to show up at my appointments, simply laying down on a comfy and relaxing bed and getting lasered away! I focused all of the treatments on my problem areas of the tummy, hips and thighs. 20 minutes were spent lying on my back, and then 20 minutes on my front side. And all I had to do was relax! And, do a little bit of exercising on the side, cardio 3 times a week.

I began to notice a slight difference in my thighs half way through the sessions, but I was shocked at the last session (2 weeks later) when I got measured, and I had lost over 8 inches!

It was great and all so very easy. The Zerona really is a fantastic product that everybody should be using! Everyone who has a little extra to lose, that is…and who doesn’t!?

A laser's enounter with a Ganglion Cyst

I began lighting the path for our intern Jesse's foot pain relief nearly 1 month ago. Relieving pain that she'd had for nearly 10 years. Pain that was caused by excessive running and irritation.

She was frustrated. Overwhelmed. And had exhausted every therapy she thought possible... until she met me. We began spending time together nearly three times a week for 10 minute increments. Low and behold... the ganglion cyst that once was inflamed and filled with fluid is nearly obsolete. And our intern Jesse is virtually pain free!!! Not to mention she can run without the irritation!

Crazy Maggie And The Battle With A Pizza Pan

Maggie came in with quite the burn from a hot pizza pan... it was on her bicep, so how she managed that I'm not sure but, none the less a challenge was presented. I had the protocol set for burns and aimed it right at her arm, we only had about 15 minutes the first day but even that little bit help it heal much faster. The next 3 days I lasered her burn for 10-15 minutes each morning and it healed twice as fast!!

Allergy Season And The Return Of The Woodpecker

Today I came in sneezing so badly my eyes were watering and puffing up. I know it's allergy season due to ragweed but I had to do something fast to stop this allergic attack. I set the Erchonia Cold Laser for the allergy protocol and put my feet in the EB footbath to detoxify. I was muscled tested to see what emotions were feeding my allergies and they were: suppressed weeping, feelings that do not seem to have an answer to change and being irrtated by someone or something. How true. I have been irritated by my 20 year old son and a pileated woodpecker that has been attacking our house for the last three years! Emotional Release Therapy released those feelings with a red/violet cold laser while I enjoyed soaking my feet in warm water. In 20 minutes, my eyes were back to normal and I could breathe!
